Gessi 63397 Built-In Body for Wall-Mounted Basin Mixer with Spout

The Gessi 63397 built-in body is the wall-recessed component required for Gessi wall-mounted basin mixers with a separate supply spout to function. It is the hidden technical part, installed before tiling, that manages the water connection and wall fixing of the mixer, designed to be paired with the visible exterior part (backplate with lever and spout) chosen from the various compatible Gessi collections.

The 63397 built-in body comes with a pre-installed 25 mm mixing cartridge and an adjustable installation depth from 69 to 99 mm. Unlike other Gessi built-in bodies, the 63397 features a watertight installation (incasso a tenuta), a technical solution that ensures a watertight seal of the housing within the wall, making it particularly well-suited for installations in proximity to the basin. EN-817 certified, compliant with ACS, UBA list and KTW BWGL requirements, and produced under an ISO 9001:2015 quality system, it is the hidden yet essential complement to Gessi wall-mounted basin mixers across multiple collections.

Important technical note: this item is the built-in body (concealed part) of the system and does not include the visible exterior part (backplate, lever, spout), which must be selected and ordered separately according to the desired collection and finish. Both components must be combined for the mixer to function correctly.

Technical installation guidelines:

To ensure correct operation and maximum lifespan of the Gessi 63397 built-in body, please follow these guidelines:

• Maximum working pressure: 5 bar — if pressure exceeds this value, install a pressure reducer
• Optimal working pressure: 3 bar
• For optimal operation, hot and cold water inlet pressures must be balanced, with a maximum difference of 0.5 bar
• Maximum mains water temperature: 70 °C, for short periods of use only
• Filter: installing an inline filter is recommended to ensure long product life and full functionality
• Pre-installation checks: thoroughly flush the water supply pipes before installation, to prevent debris from damaging the cartridge and gaskets

Installation guidance:

• Check the actual built-in depth (MIN 69 mm / MAX 99 mm) and actual overall dimensions before cutting the wall recess; refer to the plastic protection pre-installed on the body for exact measurements
• Position the body 150-200 mm from the upper rim of the basin (measured from the body centre)
• The body must be embedded so that its front face is flush with the finished tile surface
• Correct installation: the body must protrude between 54 and 74 mm from the outer face of the cladding; if the protrusion is less than 54 mm, order the extension kit
• Take into account the fixing holes on the body for the various possible installations, on both masonry and plasterboard walls
• Check the tightness of the external gaskets after connecting the pipes, before proceeding with the cladding
