Gessi 54139 Built-In Body, 2-Way

The Gessi 54139 built-in body is the wall-recessed component required for Gessi 2-way wall mixers to function, suitable for both bath and shower configurations. It is the hidden technical part, installed before tiling, that manages the water connection and wall fixing of the mixer, designed to be paired with the visible exterior part (plate, lever and finish) chosen from the various compatible Gessi collections: depending on the exterior part selected, the two outlets can feed, for example, a bath spout and handshower, or a handshower and shower head.

The 54139 built-in body comes with a mixing cartridge already included and an adjustable installation depth from 69 to 99 mm, to suit different wall and cladding thicknesses. The package includes the built-in body and wall gasket, for a professional, by-the-book installation flush with the tiles. An essential component of Gessi taps, designed to guarantee reliability and water-tightness over time, even in the bathroom's hidden plumbing system.

Important technical note: this item is the built-in body (concealed part) of the 2-way system and does not include the visible exterior part (plate, lever, controls), which must be selected and ordered separately according to the desired collection, intended use (bath or shower) and finish. Both components must be combined for the mixer to function correctly.

Technical installation guidelines:

To ensure correct operation and maximum lifespan of the Gessi 54139 built-in body, please follow these guidelines:

• Maximum working pressure: 5 bar — if pressure exceeds this value, install a pressure reducer
• Optimal working pressure: 3 bar
• For optimal operation, hot and cold water inlet pressures must be balanced, with a maximum difference of 0.5 bar
• Pre-installation checks: thoroughly flush the water supply pipes before installation, to prevent shavings, welding residue, hemp or other debris from damaging the built-in body's gaskets

Installation guidance:

• Check the actual overall dimensions of the built-in body and the minimum and maximum built-in depths, shown on the plastic protection pre-installed on the body, before creating the wall recess
• Take into account the fixing holes on the body for the various possible installation setups, on both masonry and plasterboard walls
• Wall fixing must be flush with the tiles, once cladding is complete, using the gasket and tile adhesive indicated in the assembly instructions
• For built-in depths greater than those provided, the dedicated extension kit must be ordered to ensure correct installation
