Gessi 46189 Built-In Body for Floor-Standing Bath/Basin Mixer

The Gessi 46189 built-in body is the concealed component that must be embedded in the floor for Gessi floor-standing (freestanding) mixers for bath or basin with spout to function. It is the hidden technical part that manages the water connection and floor fixing of the mixer, designed to be paired with the visible exterior part (column, lever and finish) chosen from the various compatible Gessi collections.

The 46189 built-in body features 2 water outlets and an adjustable installation depth from 78 to 158 mm, to suit different flooring thicknesses and screed heights. The package includes the built-in body, wall gasket and test extension, for a professional, by-the-book installation. An essential component of Gessi taps, designed to guarantee reliability and water-tightness over time, even in the bathroom's hidden plumbing system.

Important technical note: this item is the built-in body (concealed part) of the floor-standing system and does not include the visible exterior part (column, lever, handshower), which must be selected and ordered separately according to the desired collection and finish (e.g. Gessi Ventaglio 72028). Both components must be combined for the mixer to function correctly.

Technical installation guidelines:

To ensure correct operation and maximum lifespan of the Gessi 46189 built-in body, please follow these guidelines:

• Maximum working pressure: 5 bar — if pressure exceeds this value, install a pressure reducer
• Optimal working pressure: 3 bar
• For optimal operation, hot and cold water inlet pressures must be balanced, with a maximum difference of 0.5 bar
• Maximum mains water temperature: 70 °C, for short periods of use only
• Filter: installing an inline filter is recommended to ensure long product life and full functionality
• Pre-installation checks: thoroughly flush the water supply pipes before installation, to prevent shavings, welding residue, hemp or other debris from damaging the built-in body's gaskets

Installation guidance:

• Check the actual overall dimensions of the built-in body and the minimum and maximum built-in depths before creating the recess in the screed
• Take into account the fixing holes on the body for the various possible installation setups
• Wall fixing must be flush with the cladding, once tiling is complete, using the gasket and tile adhesive indicated in the assembly instructions
• Recommended minimum distance from the side wall: 60 mm
